Funky Trunks F-Team are set to smash the competition out of the water at the Commonwealth Games Trials 2018

From February 28 - March 3, Australia's best swimmers will be competing at the Australian Swimming Trials on the Gold Coast with the aim to secure their place on the 2018 Commonwealth Games Team. We have a total of 14 Funky Trunks F-Teamers competing across the 4 days so keep reading below for a quick summary about the guys and when you can catch them in action.

Young guns, Castle Hill swimmer Zac Attard and St Peters Western swimmer Connor Brackin are ready to take on the big guns with Zac swimming the 100m, 200m and 400m Freestyle, plus the 200m IM and Connor stepping up in the 200m Breaststroke.

Jayden Hadler is making a comeback in the pool with 50m Fly and 200IM

Breaststroke specialist and SOPAC swimmer Ryan Roche will be racing in all breaststroke distances from the 50m to the 200m with team mate and 2016 Olympian Jacob Hansford hoping to qualify in the 100 and 200m Free. Jacob also has the 100m Butterfly with 2012 Olympian Jayden Hadler making his comeback in the same event. Jayden also has the 50m Fly and 200 IM.

Trials 2018
Zac Incerti is one to watch at the Commonwealth Games Trials 2018

WA boys, who were both nominated for 2017 WA Swimmer of the Year Zac Incerti and Tommy Sucipto will be looking to build on an impressive 2017 season by qualifying for the Commonwealth Games Team. Zac will compete in the 100m Backstroke, 100m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke and 50m Freestyle. While Tommy will race in the 100m and 50m Breaststroke.

 Trials 2018
Jack McLoughlin will battle it out with fellow F-Teamer Ethan Owens in the 200m, 400m and 1500m!

Long distance specialists Ethan Owens and 2016 Olympian Jack McLoughlin will go head to head in the 200m, 400m and 1500m Freestyle events. We can't wait to see 2016 Rio Olympian Travis Mahoney, take on the individual medley events. It's great to see Trav racing at his best since his move to Marion, South Australia.

NSW Para Athletes Blake Cochrane, Mitchell Kilduff and Logan Powell will look to make the 2018 Para Athlete team. Blake will be competing in the 100m Breaststroke SB8 and 200m IM SM8, while Mitchell will look to earn his spot on the team in the 200m Freestyle S14 and Logan will compete in the 100m Freestyle S9 and 100m Backstroke S9.
