Season 2 of the International Swim League begins this Friday in Budapest, Hungary. The aim of the game is to win as many points as you can for your team to progress through the rounds, the semi's and into the final for the chance to become ISL champions! And there is one team in particular we will be backing... the New York Breakers. With a stellar line up including a mix of Brits and Americans, Funky Trunks athletes Brendon Smith, Lewis Clareburt and youngster Jacob Whittle are all part of the gang.

Even as the youngest swimmer on any ISL team, UK Freestyler Jacob Whittle is certainly not out of his depth. With the world's fastest all time 100m Freestyle time for his age, he will be a massive addition to the team. Not only as an individual points scorer but also as a relay swimmer. Relays earn double points for the team and if Jacob happens to be called up for the big freestyle skins event, he could even earn triple points.

Jacob Whittle made history in 2019 swimming the fastest 100m Freestyle time ever for a 14-year-old.

New Zealand's medley superstar Lewis Clareburt will be covering all bases for the Breakers. After winning bronze at both the 2018 Commonwealth Games and 2019 World Championships in the men's 400m IM there is no doubt he'll be stepping up behind the block to score big in the medley events. After the delay of the 2020 Olympics this has given Lewis the focus he needs for the start of the new Olympic cycle.

Brendon Smith is the only returning Aussie swimmer to the NY Breakers team after finishing a close 4th in a couple of the men's 400m IM races last season. Having been pre-selected for Tokyo 2020 as part of Team Australia, the 6-week ISL racing and training period means there's the opportunity to get lots of hard racing and training under his belt. Brendon will likely be joining Lewis in the medley events while adding the 400m Freestyle and 200m Freestyle to his event list.
